About Carnival of Oruro
A UNESCO masterpiece rooted in Andean ritual and Catholic devotion. The Diablada, dance of the devils, leads a 4 km procession lasting some 20 hours. Dancers honor the Virgin of the Mineshaft. Miners begin the pilgrimage at dawn.
