Small decorated baskets (krathongs) are floated on rivers. Made from banana leaves, flowers, and candles. Honors the water goddess Phra Mae Khongkha. Celebrated on the full moon of the 12th Thai month. Chiang Mai combines it with Yi Peng lantern releases. Beauty pageants are held alongside the floating.
