About Hanami

Cherry blossom viewing season across Japan. The cherry blossom forecast (sakura zensen) is tracked like weather. Picnics under the trees are called hanami parties. The blooms last only 1-2 weeks. Symbolizes the fleeting nature of life in Japanese culture. Tokyo and Kyoto are the most popular viewing spots.
